The Birth…

It all started with #LeWeb09: LeWeb’Students’s idea just after having bought the tickets and this blog just before going there, the loop is closed and LeWeb’Students was born. We are three students: Pierre, Romain and Andrei, entrepreneurs and passionate of young people in Paris and elsewhere to “change the world.” The objective of LeWeb’Students is to gather all the students who come to this great event and help them to meet and to enjoy.

Today, students and young startups that are going to #LeWeb have only 2 days to complete their team, find investors or share ideas, lost among 2,000 participants and only a badge to get an idea of who is who. It would be a shame to lose one hour of the day with a group that finally does not interest you just because people were nice and offered you a drink.

LeWeb’Students allowed you to select the students and the startups that interest you based on their expectations for #LeWeb, five tags to define them and their Twitter profile. But you already all know since you’re here and we hope that you have used and appreciated this tool.

The biggest challenge was to make this Idea real in only a week! Pierre, our genius Web developer began to code and three days after we delivered the tool to Twitter which did the rest: in 3 days (and some great RT @loic, @Gonzage @pressecitron and other whom we would like to thank) we have reached 150 registered and nearly 200 mentions on Twitter. It was a success given the only 200 students registered at #LeWeb this year. It was quite impressive to witness in real time the impact of RT’s on visits and Registration: without a tool as fast as Twitter, our project would never have come!

We would like to thank all the students that showed up at our #Leweb students meetings and we hope that you enjoy these two days of conferences and that you met a lot of great people.

And last but not least @Leweb…
